Tiger Food Services Wins Food Safety & Sanitation Award
Tiger Correctional Food Services has been awarded the “2017 Food Safety Excellence Award” for its excellence in compliance in the Johnson County Jail. According to Johnson County Community Health Services, to win the award food establishments must substantially exceed sanitation food safety standards. The jail is located in Warrensburg, Missouri.
All food establishments in the County are inspected regularly by Johnson County Community Health Services. They must pass rigorous inspections in order to remain open. Out of almost 300 food service institutions in Johnson County, only Tiger and 22 other establishments in the County have received this honor for 2017.
Johnson County Community Health Services recognizes that excellence is best achieved when food service management fully endorses employee education and training. Therefore, employee education is an important consideration along with sanitation and food safety in determining the winners.
